Borneo and Orang utans are synonymous and today these wonderful creatures are at greater risk than ever before. Thankfully, efforts are being made to ensure that the future of the Orang utan is not as dismal as it might seem and we are happy to be able to take people to one of the longest standing Orang utan sanctuaries on the island of Borneo to see their care and rehabilitation in progress.

We offer you more days at the sanctuary than any other tour operator and a few days at the end of your holiday to relax on a beach and a chance to see more of Borneo if you wish.

Like all our tours, this one does not include flights as the price of these is dependant on your departure date and there are so many options that we prefer to research flights for you once we know your exact requirements. (You can also make your own flight bookings, of course) You can fly straight to Borneo or maybe stop over for a night or two in Kuala Lumpur, for example.

DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 01 - Fly London Heathrow (or home country) to Kota Kinabalu
Day 02 - Arrive Kota Kinabalu and transfer to hotel. (4*)
Day 03 - At leisure in Kota Kinabalu (B)
Day 04 - Fly KK to Sandakan and transfer to Sepilok Nature Resort.
               Check-in and proceed to Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre.
               Overnight at Sepilok. (B/L)
Day 05 - Another day visit Sepilok, inc Bird trail trekk & night
               jungle walk from your hotel. Overnight at Sepilok. (B/L)
Day 06 - Short visit to Sepilok, for the morning feeding session.
              Check-out and transfer to English Teahouse for lunch
               before going to the airport and fly back to Kota Kinabalu.
               Arrive and onwards to Beach Resort (3*) (B/L)
Day 07-09 - At Beach Resort (B)
Day 10 -   Fly Kota Kinabalu to London Heathrow (B)

Day 1     Fly London Heathrow to Kota Kinabalu
Day 2    Arrive Kota Kinabalu and be met at the airport and transfer to your hotel (4*) to overnight.
Day 3    Early morning flight to Sandakan for Sepilok Orang utan Rehab Centre and the early morning feeding
             session. Lunch at the Centre and then second visit to the feeding platforms for the afternoon feeding.
            (Flight timings permitting)   Return flight late afternoon to Kota Kinabalu and on arrival transfer to Beach
             Resort (3*).
Day 4    At beach resort, or optional day excursion (B/D)

1400hrs Depart from Kota Kinabalu on an overland 2 hours drive via coastal highway Kota Kinabalu/Beaufort, towards Southwest part of Sabah. You will be taken to AL-JO Riverside Cafe along the Garama River. Upon your return to AL-JO Riversude Cafe, unwind before you are served with a sumptuous traditional Malaysian dinner before returning to Kota Kinabalu. 2130hrs Arrive at your hotel. (Afternoon Tea & dinner included)
